The sidney black scholarship is an annual award that was established in memory of UHI engineering graduate Sidney Black. The prize is intended to inspire female engineering students and give them the chance to realise their career dreams. It is open to female students who are graduating from any of the university’s engineering programmes and who have a strong combination of academic achievement, personal attributes and contribution to society/student life.
