When you think of Hong Kong, great shopping or delicious dim sum probably come to mind, but a beautiful pool might not be. But surprisingly, the city is loaded with fabulous pools, including some of the highest in the world. From public and government-run swimming pools to those in residential complexes and members’ clubs, we have them all covered. Plus, there’s always the ocean, of course!

While most public and government-run swimming pools in Hong Kong are pretty standard, the hotels’ pools are definitely worth checking out. Often exclusive to hotel guests, they offer amazing views and top-notch facilities, making them the best pools in Hong Kong. Whether you’re looking to swim laps, lounge by the water or sip some cocktails, these gorgeous hongkong pools will make your next staycation even better.

One of the best hotels with a pool in Hong Kong is Island Shangri-La, which features a spectacular infinity pool that overlooks the iconic Bank of China building. While the pool doesn’t have the ocean vistas of the others on this list, it does make for an incredible urban oasis right in the heart of the city. The pool is usually only open to hotel guests, but current staycation offers allow outsiders to enjoy the facilities as well.

Another swanky swimming pool is located at The Kerry Hotel, which boasts not only a stunning outdoor pool but also an indoor swimming pool and spa. Located in the city’s Kowloon district, it’s a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The outdoor pool is surrounded by greenery and has a lovely vibe, while the indoor pool is adorned with marble.

The hotel’s pool bar is a popular spot for drinks after swimming, and there’s also an outdoor jacuzzi for those feeling extra luxe. We’d recommend heading here to catch the sunset – it’s the perfect way to end your time at the pool.

If you’re looking for something a bit more unique, check out the rooftop pool at Hotel Indigo found on the 29th floor. Unlike most other rooftop pools, this one is actually glass-bottomed, meaning that you can swim directly above the streets of Hong Kong’s bustling skyscrapers! This is the perfect spot to get some Instagram-worthy pictures of your Hong Kong trip.

For more swimming pools with incredible views, head to the Kennedy Town area for the K11 Artus Swimming Pool. This exotic pool is built with turquoise Balinese stone and has a view of the city’s sprawling skyline. Non-hotel guests can purchase a pool pass for HK$350 on the weekday and HK$700 on the weekend to enjoy some relaxing time at this amazing pool.
