Roullete, or roulette (from French for little wheel), is a casino game in which players bet on what number will appear on a spinning wheel. The game was likely developed from the Italian game Biribi. The game’s popularity increased from the 18th century onwards. Today, the game is played in casinos and gambling houses throughout the world. It is an extremely simple game to play and can be enjoyed by almost anyone.
During each round of roulette, players place chips on the betting mat, indicating what they wish to bet on. They can bet on a single number, various groupings of numbers, the color red or black, whether the number is odd or even or if it is high or low.
